Are There Better Braces Than the Traditional Metal Braces? If a patient is determined to have malocclusion in either their upper or lower teeth, then we may prescribe dental braces as part of the treatment plan. Before we can begin the treatment, however, there are few considerations that a patient must understand. For instance, a panoramic x-ray should be done to assess the situation accurately. Some patients may require a dental extraction, as well.

What are Dental Braces?

Braces are a type of treatment option to help improve malocclusion. They are attached to the upper and lower teeth. It can help solve crowding, misalignment of a patient's teeth, an overbite or an underbite, and lower bite problems. Monthly adjustments and consultations will be down in order to hasten the progress of your treatment plan.

Due to technology and innovation, the traditional metal braces have evolved into different types that provide a much faster treatment plan and also have discreet options, especially for teenagers. Fortunately for many patients, braces are now made smaller and less obvious to see.

Options for Dental Braces

There are options in the market for braces that will be tailored according to your needs. During your appointment with us, we will give you prescribe a treatment plan. Your best option will be determined during your appointment.

Traditional metal braces are applied on the teeth's front surface and are connected by using metal brackets and wires, and we adjust them with proper assessment. Moreover, they are the first innovation in the market.

Lingual braces are similar to traditional braces, but instead of being attached in front of the teeth, they are attached at the backside, making them invisible to other people. Self-ligating braces require less maintenance and dentist appointments, which can be a convenient option for many patients.
