Damon Braces
Achieve a Beautiful Smile With The Experts In Damon Braces in Kennett Square, PA

Damon Braces are an advanced engineered system that is known as passive self-ligation. This means that elastic ligatures are no longer needed to hold arch wires (which actually move the teeth) in place. For the patient, the benefit is less plaque accumulation around the brackets and easier cleaning overall compared to traditional metal braces. More important, the arch wire does not exert unwanted forces in order to move your teeth. That usually means that you have less discomfort with each wire change and a healthier cushion that holds your teeth in place.

In addition, a more efficient tooth movement system, like the Damon system, can space out your need for office visits to 8-10 weeks.

Damon mechanics allows us to treat many cases without the extraction of teeth. This can mean that your smile is full and aesthetic as the system can help your teeth to support your facial features.

Damon brackets do come in ceramic, so if having braces is the best plan for you, you can choose to use the Damon clear braces system in the aesthetic zone.

Like most advanced technologies, Damon brackets have been undergoing refinement for 20 years. Recently, the new Damon Ultima System offers a unique re-engineered bracket giving Dr. Greeley more precise control over tooth movement, with more force and more comfort for the patient. In addition, the design of the arch wires is more compatible with the brackets. This improvement results in shorter treatment times and even fewer visits.
